Slower is Better… We Love Receiving Mail

We live in the Driftless Region of SW Wisconsin; if you’ve ever been in this area you’ve probably seen a few bumper stickers that read, “Slower is Better”.  While this mostly refers to food and lifestyle, we like to apply it to mail, as well.  I mean seriously, who actually prefers an email over snail mail, right?

Needless to say, we get pretty excited when we receive invites from our clients.  Especially when they’re awesome!  (They usually are, because our clients are, well, pretty awesome.)

A recent pile of mail from my PO box.

A fun invite to Lane & Jason’s “matrimony & mayhem” wedding, including a classic library checkout card with their date on it (they love books!).Wedding Invitation, Library Checkout Card

The outside of the invite to Greg & Jackie’s wedding.  As Kelly said, “This is the prettiest our names have ever looked together!  I’m framing this invite!”

We love any type of mail, but we think invites are so fun and we love when couples send them to us.  Though we’re wedding photographers, we both have a background in graphic design and do a few freelance design jobs once in awhile.  Plus, seeing a couple’s invite helps us to be even more excited for their wedding!

Whenever we receive our first letterpress invite, we’ll probably frame it and keep it in our office forever.
