Madison Springtime Engagement | Nate + Katie

Nate and Katie flew in from Boston for Katie’s brother’s wedding (oh and, by the way, I’ll be blogging the full set of my favorites from that wedding soon!), which was to take place two days later in Madison, so we decided to do a little session… hoping for nice weather, of course.  And in these photos the weather may look deceivingly warm, because Katie was a trooper, but it was soo cold (seriously cold, like 35 degrees).  Never wanting to be hindered by weather, and since they were up for it, we hiked for blocks and blocks in downtown Madison.

These two were naturals in front of the camera.  It makes my job so easy when a couple truly interacts as though they’re not being photographed.  I was impressed!  Also, Nate and Katie had quite a busy weekend.  They had this engagement shoot, their brother/in-law’s wedding on Saturday, then a flight back to Boston in order for Nate to run the Boston marathon on Monday.  And I’m told that he rocked it, finishing in 3:04.  Yes, people, that’s a 7-minute mile for 26 miles!  Again, I’m impressed.

Anyhow, here are a few my my favorite photos from the session:
