Modern Madison Wedding at First Unitarian Society | Greg + Jackie

I absolutely love architecture.  Not only is it fun to photograph, it’s really inspirational for me, as far as new angles and perspectives go.  That being said, the First Unitarian Society in Madison is definitely one of my favorite indoor wedding ceremony venues in Madison.

Greg and Jackie didn’t book their venue until after they booked photography with us, so somehow… (up until the night before) I overlooked that the ceremony would be happening at the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired addition to the First Unitarian Society.  (For beautiful images of the whole place as well as a starting point for details about its geo-thermal heating/cooling system and how it’s LEED-certified, etc… go here.)  As we were getting our gear and plans ready the night before their wedding, I searched out the venue online and, well, we were pretty excited.  We’re quite sure we were way more excited than anyone else at the wedding, but I mean, we don’t know that for sure. =)

Greg and Jackie were a joy to work with.  The whole process from the first email interaction on was so smooth. And the wedding day wasn’t any different.  Totally laid-back.  Their wedding party was wonderful, as well, and when Jackie told me that she wanted to make sure group shots were fun, it put me at ease… knowing that these guys were ready to have fun.  That’s always my goal, so I was glad they were on board!
