These are a few of our favorite things: couples who get ready in beautiful spaces with lots of natural light, being warmly greeted by a giggly bride and super-excited-for-her friends, outdoor everything, extremely small wedding parties, a bride who designs her own wedding dress (!), dreamy light during portraits, genuine hugs from family and friends, international guests who travel from afar (only a handful of guests were from the area) to a tiny little valley in western Wisconsin… called Norskedalen.

All of this, and more, took place at Diego + Rebecca’s wedding. This was also the first time we worked with Weddings by Nancy — if you’re a bride looking into having a planner, check them out! They were wonderful to work with.

And just for fun, we added a few stop motion clips in throughout this post because real life is always moving. :)

We’ve been lucky enough to go back to Norskedalen again and again since, including for Emma and Nicholas’s three-day wedding weekend, talent show included.
