Josh grew up spending summers at his family’s cottage just south of Sturgeon Bay. Door County isn’t just a place he likes — it’s genuinely where some of his best memories live. So when he and Quinn decided to get married, coming back to the peninsula made complete sense. They said their vows at Corpus Christi in Sturgeon Bay and celebrated with their people at Stone Harbor Resort on the waterfront in downtown Sturgeon Bay — a full Door County weekend for a couple who knew exactly what they were doing.
A Few Things We Loved About Quinn + Josh’s Wedding
– Josh is an outdoors person through and through — snowmobiling, biking, softball, time on the water. You could feel that energy in how relaxed and present he was all day. Nothing rattled this guy.
– Quinn has a warmth that you feel immediately. One of those people who makes everyone around her more comfortable just by being herself. Easy to photograph, easy to be around, genuinely fun to spend a day with.
– They were one of the most laid-back couples we’ve worked with, and that always makes for a better day. When the two people at the center of everything are at ease, the whole thing follows.
– A groomsman brought a drone. The drone crashed into the water directly in front of the wedding party. Ray had recently handed off the controls to the drone. Ray did not cause the crash. We want that on the record. :)
– Door County in wedding season is hard to beat as a backdrop. The bay, the light, the whole feeling of the peninsula — it does something to photographs that’s hard to manufacture anywhere else. Josh knew what he was doing picking this place.
Quinn and Josh — thank you for having us up to the peninsula for this one. It was a great day!
